Happy Date

Today, I dated with Ryota in the downtown. I had things to do, which were a microphone for English Central, a T-shirt with long sleeves, and a birthday present for my mother's coworker because my mother asked me to buy it. I chose them with Ryota and was able to buy them, so I was happy. Thank you, Ryota! At lunchtime, I ate a pilaf with a steak and Ryota ate a hamburger set. We enjoyed lunchtime.

By the way, I take a lot of time to choose clothes I'll wear the next day because I want to find more coordinates with clothes I have already had. That's nice idea for people who don't have a lot of money, but it makes me tired. Moreover, it makes me lose time to learn. That's bad. I have many things to learn. I hope to learn them more positively because I want to use English and Spanish well and to know the international situation.

BR 1-01: A Girl Named Helen Keller

I chose this book because I wanted to know stories of famous people. Then, I came across it.

The book was written about that so simply, so I want to know Helen Keller more. The book is good for knowing her simply. By the way, I thought Miss Sullivan was a great person because she changed the girl Helen who was so wild and she often became angry. I thought it was good for her to meet Miss Sullivan.

I recommend you to read this book because I think that it'll let you know what important thing is and tell you Helen's back ground.

Letter to My Host Family

Dear host family,
Hello. I’m glad to be going to stay with you for 6 weeks this summer. I’m excited because I’ll go to London, England for the first time. In fact, I have never gone abroad, so I have a lot of things I don’t know. I want to learn about them. I like learning English and learning about foreign cultures, so I study them in the department of foreign language at KGU. But, I think that learning English in the country where people usually use it is important. This is why my stay with you is a good chance.

By the way, I’m good at housework, but I think my way of doing it is different from your way. Tell me your way, and I will be able to learn it soon. I want to be of any help to you because I really want to thank you for your accepting me.

I introduce my family to you. There are five people in my family. First, I introduce my parents. My father is gentle and works at the local newspaper company. My mother is cheerful and works at City Hall. Then, I have a sister and a brother. My sister is a high school student and likes listening to music. My brother is a junior high school student and good at playing basketball. He sometimes goes fishing.

Finally, let me introduce my hobbies. They’re listening to chorus music and shopping. My favorite chorus group is Libera. Their singing voices are very beautiful. I hear there are many chorus groups in the U.K. I think it is wonderful for you to live in such a country.

Although I usually wear casual clothes, to tell the truth, I love unique clothing. It is “Lolita fashion.” Do you know it? It is a Japanese subculture. I don’t know how you will feel when you see it, but I feel it is very cute. Are there any persons who are interested in clothes in host family? I’ll bring you the pictures of Lolita fashion when I visit you. By the way, I live in Kumamoto, Japan. Kumamoto has some unique foods. I like “ikinaridango” the best of all. I’ll bring you some, too. I hope you like them.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Sincerely, Yuki

Kumamoto Castle

I’ve been sick in bed for a week. I had a high fever and I didn’t have a good time recently. So, I’ll type the good thing during the spring vacation. I went to Kumamoto Castle with my boyfriend, Ryota.

He and I have lived in Kumamoto for a long time, but we don’t know Kumamoto Castle well, so we wanted to go there. At first, I didn’t think it would take a lot of time to enjoy the sightseeing, but we enjoyed it more than we expected and we were there about for five hours. We went to Uto turret, Honmarugoten, Kumamoto Castle Tower, and so on. There were many wonderful things in them. In the rest station, we drank a cup of powdered green tea and Japanese dessert. They were delicious! As you can see, we had a good time in Kumamoto Castle.
