In the book, several children do something. For example, they're painting, counting, or singing. Why do they do it? They do it because they want someone to look at them. They want to look at them any time. After I read the book, I felt we want someone to look at us any time because we try everything. If you read the book, you may want to try something new.

BR 2-17: Tom is brave (Beverley, 1996)

"You are brave." (p.12)

The main character's name is Tom. He is a boy. One day, he went to the shop for his mother. He tumbled then and cried. He went back home soon. He stopped crying as soon as her mother took care of his injury. She said to him, "You are brave." When he heard the word, he became happy and he went out to show people his injury she took care of.

After I read the book, I felt the boy was cheerful and cute. He was just said, "You are brave." and he became happy. As people grow older, they don't feel small happiness. When I found that, I was a little sad. I want to notice small happiness, and to live happily. You should read the book, too.

Assignment Improves My Skill

I haven't finished book review posts yet. I like reading a book, but I was reluctant to read books somehow. The reason may be that I was busy about my part-time job. I posted two book reviews last night and I found posting the reviews. Why did you find that? The more I read a book, the more my knowledge increases and the faster I read a book written in English.

When I post essays, I write with a lot of words. Writing with them takes much time. That is so hard for me. However, essay posts have me think of many things.

I enjoy presentation. It is fun because I can write myself. Moreover, I could know how to make presentation and put it on my blog. The assignment increased my skill of using a computer. It's so useful because we have to use it well now.

Getting comments is happy for me because I can know my friends read my blog. Giving comments is also important. Doing them may make my friends happy. In addition, I can read their blogs and think of a lot of things. Giving comments always needs thinking of something. Moreover, doing them helps me to improve my skill of English.

Essay 2-03b: Who am I?

Who am I? Now, I'll introduce me.

I'm from Japan. I live in Kumamoto. I was born on September 23, 1991 there.

These are local specialties. The upper right is mustard lotus roots. They have mustard in holes of the roots. It's called "ikinaridango" in Japanese. The left is sweet potato and bean jam dumplings. They literally have sweet potatoes and bean jams inside. It's called "ikinaridango" in Japanese. The lower right is sashimi of horses. I like it because it's delicious. It's called "basashi" in Japanese.

These are my family. My father is Yuji. He is gentle and works at the local newspaper company. My mother is cheerful and works at driving school. Then, I have a sister and a brother. My sister is a high school student and likes listening to music. My brother is, too. He is good at playing basketball. He sometimes goes fishing.

These are my hobbies. They are listening to music and shopping.

My favorite singers or groups are Avril Lavigne, Jutine Bieber, Libera, and after school tea time. Libera, which is the upper right, is my favorite chorus group. Their singing voices are very beautiful. After school tea time, which is the upper left, is a band playing the animation music. Their singing voices are so cute and cheerful.

Next, I like shopping. My favorite brands of fashion are UNIQLO, Innocent World, and BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT. I do a part-time job at UNIQLO. The more and more I work there, the better and better I like the brand. The other brands are ones for Lolita fashion. I like the fashion.

What's Lolita fashion? As you can see the pictures, it's a little strange, but so cute. It's one of Japanese subculture. Do you like unique fashion? I love Lolita fashion!!

I have learned three languages. They are Japanese, English, and Spanish.

I'll introduce my way of learning Japanese. It's my native language. I learned 50 words by writing and reading book. I learned the words by the former in the kindergarten. I learned them by the latter in my home. My grandmother often read to me when I was a little girl. In addition, I memorized the words with the machine which is similar to the upper right picture. I always speak, listen, write, and read every day because it's my native language.

I studied English gaming in a class for the first time when I was an elementary school student. I also learned it in English lesson of ECC. I took some tests of the program. They were easy. I enjoyed studying English I don't gradually like doing it so much because I had a lot of homework of ECC.

In junior high school, high school, I memorized English words, spoke English, wrote, listened, read and studied grammar with each textbook in classes of English.
I've learned Spanish since I entered the university. I mainly study it in the class of Spanish.

My favorite vacation trip

I have a lot of favorite vacation memories. I'll introduce one of them. I traveled to Nagasaki with my friends during the summer vacation last year. We had known each other when we were high school students. We had stayed in the same room during the high school trip. We had become close then. We went to Huistenbosch last year. We enjoyed a lot there like the high school trip. I was glad that we were so close for a long time. The next day, we went to Fukuoka and enjoy shopping. Two of the friends had lived in Fukuoka, so they guided me and the other friends. I found my favorite shops having a lot of cute clothes, so I was very happy. I had a very good time. I wanted to travel with the friends again. I'm thinking of places where we'll go.

My favorite movie

I have several favorite movies. One is the series of Harry Potter. They're exciting. I also like the books of the series, so I wanted to watch the movies. Two is "Umigakikoeru." It's made by Hayao Miyazaki. It's the story of youthfulness. It's not so exciting but a little quiet. However, it impressed me. The main character noticed that he loved his friend a few years later. I remember well the scene of his missing her. The movie finishes when he saw her again in the platform, so we can't know what happen to them. We must imagine that. I wish they would talk a lot and become closer. Three is "Koizora." It's a love movie that I watched for the first time. In addition, I watched a movie with my boyfriend for the first time when I watched "Koizora." We watched it on Christmas, so it reminds me of a romantic mood. I have a good memory in the movie.

My favorite color

I like pink better than any other color because it's cute. I have a lot of pink things. For example, they're my wallet, notebook, walkman, earphone, electric dictionary, bags, cell phone, the carpet of my room and so on. I always choose a pink thing when I buy something. I also have pink clothes. I often wear them and shoes with the pink line and the pink shoelace even when I do my part-time job. I'm happy when I'm said "You suit them." In addition, I also choose pink ones when I buy a rouge or eye shadow. My choosing pink things is one of my habits. I wish there were more them in my room. However, I can't realize that because it's a mess. So, I would gather a lot of pink furniture if I moved to a new house alone.

Essay 2-01b: My favorite Place

I have several favorite places. They relax me. I'll introduce one of them. It's Kumamoto Prefectural Library. There are my memories there, too.

First, I'll introduce where the library is. It's in Izumi, Kumamoto. The Kumamoto City gym, Kumamoto Commercial High School, and a convenience store are near the library. I often go to the convenience store to buy food and drinks when I go to the library with my boyfriend. I often go to the library with him because I don’t remember the route. I often go there by bicycle, but I sometimes do by bus. When I go there by bus, I wait for bus at the bus stop in front of Nisseki hospital.

Second, my favorite library has most of the books written by Kiyoshi Shigematsu. I'm happy that because he is one of my favorite novelist. His books are really interesting. I've read some of them in the library. I want to read more them because I haven’t had all of the book yet.

It's also useful to look for books to use when I write a report. It has a lot of books. It's one of my favorite places now, but I didn't like it when I went to the library for the first time. I liked the Kumamoto Municipal library better than it because the municipal library has more novels. I read only them.

However, I have read difficult books since I entered the university. I found the prefectural library useful. It has a lot of books I want to read now. In addition, there is a study hall in the library. You can study in the quiet room if you go there. That is why I like it.

Finally, there are my memories in the library. I often went there with my boyfriend when we were high school students. We studied or enjoyed reading a book there. We used to arrive there in the morning when we went. We usually stayed there to evening, so we bought food in the convenience store and had lunch together. I had a good time.

As you can see, one of my favorite places is useful and comfortable. It's easy to get to. In addition, I have a lot of good memories there. It is useful when you want to read books or to center on studying in a quiet place. I recommend going there. You will be able to make good use of a day if you go there.

My favorite shoes

My favorite shoes are broken now, so I'm sad. The shoes are so pretty. They are pink and have four ribbons. The height of the heels is five centimeter. Is it high? I feel it's high because I'm tall and I don't want to grow taller, but it's very cute, so I really like them. I bought them last year in my favorite shop. The shoes were expensive, but I really wanted them. I was happy when I was able to get them. However, they are broken. I haven't worn them many times, so I want to wear them again. I'm worrying whether I should have them repaired or not. I also want to buy new shoes, but I don't have a lot of money. I'm worrying about my favorite shoes now.

My favorite season

I like spring the best of the four seasons because the temperature is good to spend. For example, when I want to clean my room, I must open the window. If I want to do in summer, it's too hot that I can't concentrate on cleaning my room. If I want to do in winter, it's too cold that I can't do. Then, I also like fall, but my favorite season is spring because spring makes me excited. I don't know the reason well, I want to do something new in spring. I feel spring brings them to me. In fact, there is an entrance ceremony, where people meet something new, in spring in Japan. Therefore, I guess I feel that.

My favorite place I've been is Tenjin, Fukuoka. I went there with my boyfriend. He planned to travel there for my birthday. Malls in Tenjin have my favorite brands of clothes, so I enjoyed shopping. I especially like Tenjin vivre and Tenjin core which are malls in Tenjin. There are a lot of brands of lolita fashion on the eight floors in Tenjin Vivre. I was very happy to go there. However, I shopped there because clothes for lolita fashion were expensive. I shopped in Tenjin Core. There was LIZ LISA, which is one of my favorite brands, on the first floor. I bought a coat and a bag. Malls in Tenjin have a lot of cute things, so I like Tenjin.

My favorite High School Memory

When I was a high school student, I enjoyed the school trip. I was so happy that my roommates in the hotel were my best friends. I always had a wonderful time with them. We talked a lot, really laughed during the school trip and were on much better terms. I liked my best friends better after it. We went to ski during school trip. One of them sometimes did several funny actions then. The other friends and I laughed at them. In addition, we could find each interest thing newly. One of my best friends was usually smart, cute, and modest, but was good at playing a trick. The trick was so funny and made us laugh. The school trip was wonderful.

My favorite Clothing

My favorite clothing is the culottes. I bought them on sale at Page Boy in PARCO. I was happy to get them with less money. They are gray checked culottes. It's very cute. Culottes are comfortable for me to wear because they are like a skirt. Women can't wear a skirt when they ride a bike. However, they can wear cute or cool culottes even if they ride a bike. They can enjoy more fashion styles if they wear them. This is why I like culottes. I really like the culottes I bought last year. Their design is so nice. I can wear many clothes with them. They make me better. I often wear them all seasons. I wish I would get nice culottes.

Reflections on Writing III

It was hard for me to listen to listen to directions spoken in English, so I should have studied how to listen. It was hard for me to write essays and to think of what to write on my blog. I enjoyed writing it, but I should have written more sentences when I wrote a book review.  I could write many sentences on my blog when I wrote about my hobbies. I'll write a lot about it in Writing IV, too.

What Classes I Will Take

I will take 16 classes in the second semester. The number of them is more than that of classes I took in the first semester. The reason is I'll take Theory of Different Cultures Communication Ⅰand Ⅱ and Theory of English StudyⅠand Ⅱ. I'll take them because I want to know how to communicate with people who have different cultures and to know English more. In addition, I'll take the history of America instead of the history of British I took in the first semester. America is the country where I want to go, so I'll take the class more seriously. I'm looking forward to taking the classes.
